Our goal is to proclaim all that God has done for us in creation, in sending us his son Jesus Christ and equipping us with the power of the Holy Spirit.
We hope that as you come into contact with us through the communities in which we serve that you too will see just how good God is and how His love breaks down barriers and gives us real joy in our lives
Go on have a look at what God is doing here!
All are welcome at St Christopher’s. We welcome visitors and regulars of all ages at our morning services at 10.00am usually offering a variety of worship styles, music and age sensitive teaching and sharing. At 6.00pm, we have a more meditative service where there is time to listen to the word of God and to reflect on it. (Our Sunday evening worship restarts on 8th September.) Refreshments are served after all our morning services.
There are also lots of midweek events where smaller groups meet for fun and friendship so do have a look in the ‘Groups’ for more details about our family events ranging from birth to ‘maturer’ years.
What sort of church are we?
St Christophers is an Anglican Parish church which means that it is part of the huge Church of England which covers 99% of England. We are trying our best to be a listening church with one ear open to what God is saying to us – and the other ear available to hear what people are saying and needing.
In our locality there are lots of homes of various sizes but what matters to us is that you may feel at home and able to spend some time with God – not just on a Sunday but during the week – regardless where you are – whether at work, home, or leisure.
Our vision is to ‘ Share the love of God through Jesus Christ his Son in the power of the Holy Spirit’
We are a member church of the Evangelical Alliance and they have summarised our beliefs at http://www.eauk.org/connect/about-us/basis-of-faith.cfm
