Thank you to Ian for this week’s MWB
Col.1 v.7 – You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow-servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
In Philemon v.23 we learn – Epaphras, my fellow prisoner – that he also spent time in prison with Paul and was obviously not a man ashamed of the gospel. But the strength of his character and ministry are found in Col.4 v.12 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. A true servant of Christ – our dear fellow-servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ – who didn’t quench the Holy Spirit. The church is built and moves forward on prayer. The church in today’s world needs those champions of prayer. Epaphras demonstrated his love for those in his church by praying for them even when he was far from home. Let us thank the Lord for all who faithfully pray in St Christopher’s. – – – – – -Could you dare to be an Epaphras?
