After Jesus had risen from the dead, before he went to be with his Father in heaven, he commissioned his followers to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew chapter 28, verse 19).
Salvation is available to everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. Yet scripture states with clear logic: “How can [people] believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?” (Romans chapter 10, verse 14). The good news of salvation through Jesus relies on people spreading the word, not only in this country but throughout the world.
We, at St Christopher’s, believe that we should pick up this responsibility by committing to support several mission partners who are working full-time nationally and internationally, helping bring to faith those who do not yet know that God loves them and that salvation is available to them.
